Downer’s Next Generation Technologies business (NGT) has delivered the first phase of a new smart cities security infrastructure project for the Western Australian Government in line with the state’s CCTV strategy.

Responding to increasing demand for mobile CCTV units, Downer’s Next Generation Technologies team has engineered a new solar-powered mobile design that can be deployed anywhere, anytime.

The Premier of Western Australia, Colin Barnett, opened the new Perth Busport on 13 July 2016. The Busport utilises critical technology delivered by Downer which enables up to 1,400 bus transfers each day.
