Responding to increasing demand for mobile CCTV units, Downer’s Next Generation Technologies team has engineered a new solar-powered mobile design that can be deployed anywhere, anytime.

Fully equipped with wireless communications, the MU Series can be deployed for community events such as the Australia Day Skyworks or on remote mining sites.

A key feature of the MU Series is the self-sufficient solar panels that ensure clean, energy efficient operation. Recognised for its energy efficiency, the MU Series was awarded a Certificate of Commendation at the NECA Excellence Awards in 2016.

With innovation and safety at its core, the new MU Series can be operated remotely and monitored 24-hours. It also features wireless repeaters and access points that enable the tracking of assets and provides free Wi-Fi, making it ideal for community events. Simplifying installation and ongoing management, the MU Series can be operated as standalone units or integrated into existing CCTV systems.

Recent installations of the new MU Series include locations across Perth’s CBD where the units have been used to monitor community safety for the City of Perth.
